Learner Surveys

Project SHINE asks participating immigrants and refugees to complete a survey at the end of each semester in order to understand what they have learned and how to improve our program and help insure future funding. You should explain the purpose of the survey described above and emphasize that learners' answers will remain confidential.

The survey can be downloaded below. Each PDF file contains both a translated and an English language version of the survey so learners can choose which language they would like to use and tutors can provide assistance if needed.

You may provide assistance if requested. Administrators may also provide clarification of survey questions and answers but should not influence a learner's response. If a learner is unable to complete the survey due to limited literacy skills in English or his/her native language, difficulty writing, or vision problems, the survey may be administered orally.

In order to better protect the confidentiality of the learners who complete each individual survey, learners should be instructed to put their completed survey into an envelope and seal it before giving it back to you. You should then turn them in at the end of the semester.
