About SHINE Staff
Project SHINE's national office is based out of the The Intergenerational Center at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Intergenerational Center is a valuable community of service-oriented organizations and a leader in the creation of resources to promote mutually-beneficial relationships between people of different generations for nearly 30 years.
The staff at SHINE's national office is responsible for providing national consortium members with the direction and resources necessary for maintaining the SHINE program in the 10 cities it serves. Staff members in the national office also work to create projects and initiatives to help elderly immigrant/refugees better integrate into American society.

AmeriCorps*VISTA
AmeriCorps*VISTA
Project SHINE utilizes AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers through a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service. Each VISTA member serves one year at Project SHINE and works toward expanding the programs capacity to serve its community. SHINE's national office incorporates VISTA members as local program, communications and special projects coordinators.
